Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much will it cost to bring the Yomen to our school?
The normal King's Yomen fee is $500. However, if yo-yos can be sold after the program $200 will be taken off the price. In addition, for every yo-yo sold at the school $1 will be donated to the school. Consequently, many schools end up paying less than half the normal fee.
Q. How do you handle yo-yo sales?
One week before our show the school should download and distribute this yo-yo order form. The kids can bring in their orders and money throughout the week and the school will collect them. On the day of the program the Yomen will give the yo-yos to the school to distribute. Many schools hand out order forms again on the day of the program and sell yo-yos for an additional week. The right-side of the order form is left blank so the school can inform parents of the program.
Q. We understand you do religious programs. Do you try to promote religion at schools?
No. While it is true that the Yomen do religious events, (see www.kingsyomen.com) they have a different program and message for schools that is intended to promote integrity and respect, not religion.
Q. How many Yomen are there?
There are four Yomen between Portland and Michigan. One to three Yomen will perform at a school program. Only one Yomen is necessary to achieve the full Yomen experience.
